It’s not much complicated to get the approval from Amazon for the gated category, but it’s just time taking process. It is also possible that you send a request to Amazon for the approval, your request may get automatically approved. But for this, your reputation should be good on Amazon rather than being a completely new seller.
Steps to get Category approval:
You have to log in to your Amazon seller central account. Select the option ‘Add a product and search for the product which you want to sell. If it gets a return with an option of the ‘Restricted’ then click ‘Listing Limitations Apply’. Then click the button of ‘Request Approval’. It is possible that may you get a response after a few minutes that your request has been approved. If this doesn’t happen, then you will be asked to provide some additional information.
You have to provide information like the invoices of the products, selling authority, your business and product detail. Amazon uses that information to check the criteria for the category approval that will Amazon allow you access to the restricted category.
